it's kinda rare in my hometown of CDO, but it's pretty common in Cebu... i remember when we were kids, and my parents happened to get lukot in the local market by chance (really rare!), they'd cook this noodle-like substance together with tinuwa, the usual fish stew. a bit slimy in texture, but hey it's yummy! good thing i haven't heard of it being sea slug poop... o_0
i remember food-tripping with Delialu on one of the many barbeque restos in Banilad, and getting my first taste of kinilaw nga lukot. it had the usual kinilaw ingredients - vinegar, salt, diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, finely julienned ginger, and a dash of soy sauce and MSG - and damn! it's even better than being stewed together with fish.
anyway, this is a rave! god, i miss lukot!
