november rain...
nope, nothing earth-shattering for this month...
my mom was here for a week to check on papers related to land titles, that the good ol' relatives are fighting on... not to mention one really stoopeed third party person trying to butt in where she's not needed... what an ass!
i'm constantly on "tumbling" mode... filing "SLs" and being late to work... not proud of it coz it's been 2 years since i had been late to work... =(
and blame it on Lando for the rain part... heavy rains and strong winds like you can only imagine... jeez!
yeah, the annual physical examination... the queue is as endless as the calls waiting... hmmph! =P
yep... that's about it i guess...

I love you, you love me.. Lets get together and kill Barney, with a shotgun (bang! bang!) Barney on the floor, no more happy dinosaur...

the one...
picked up this quote while trawling the 'net:
sometimes, i wonder if our supposed to be "soulmate" is the same person as "the one"... ya know, "the one" person who at first glance (first sight?) you get this sudden frisson of recognition, you feel an electricity between you, and then for some unknown reason you think, you KNOW, that this is the ONE. the one person you are attracted to, the one person you belong to, the one person you love... and even then you feel, you KNOW, that love doesn't even begin to describe the wholeness that you feel with this person. you know that what you have between you surpasses love, the feeling is more than just love.
does feelings like this even happen???
if anything, i'd like to feel this way even for just once in my life... and still, i dread it because by then, i'd die of wanting more if i only get to feel it once with this person... this feeling has to last forever.
At this moment there are six billion four hundred seventy million eight hundred eighteen thousand six hundred seventy one people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes... all you need is one. ~ P. Sawyerafter some research, found it was from Peyton Sawyer, a character from One Tree Hill... i've heard of the series but i don't watch it though...

current soda addiction...
got addicted again to the empty calories... but am sticking to the diet/light varieties like Pepsi Max, Coke Light, Diet Pepsi, Diet 7-Up, etc... if i can't get any, i throw away my calorie-inhibition and slug down Jazz or Sparkle at the nearby bakeshop...

changes, changes...
i just heard that the supervisors are finally disbanding the team that i was previously (and initially) part of... or what's left of the team. for the past couple of years the pipz had been finding better companies or getting better offers. they're moving on. good for them. not much can be said for me. pity...

bored...
i think am gonna quit the ASP class... i have no definite interest in programming, i can't make myself enjoy it... it seems easy enough to learn by myself... if i really put my head into it. which i just can't seem to do anywayz...
guess i'll just do a recap on my basic Nihon-go in my foreseeable free time... if i don't get caught up as useless on my newly-found ebooks. which is what i'm currently obsessing on. and talk about me major-OCDing on them...jeez!

july 2007 events...
hiya! after 43 years of silence, i'm back here again. nope, actually it's just a month. i hadn't the chance to update all of july for a lotta reasons... eneweiz, here's some of my events last month worth mentioning:
** 06 July: NA Email teambuilding @ Hidden Paradise Mountain Resort
I tagged along again with my former teammates' teambuilding and
we went to Hidden Paradise Mountain Resort, a really outta-the-way resort somewhere up the mountains South of Cebu. it does live up to its name: Hidden Paradise. it's definitely a great resort, and it's virtually inaccessible unless you have a personal ride or rent the resort van (demmit!)!!!ahahah =D
anyway, check out their website for contact info and resort pictures: http://hiddenparadiseresort.multiply.com/

** 14 July: DekkaBelle's wedding
D finally got married! who'd ever thought that will happen?!? (ok D, stop throwin' the punches, will ya...) =P her wedding was held in our parish church in CDO, but sadly I wasn't there to attend, me being in another island and all...
it seemed like a lifetime ago when we were agreeing that John Mayer's "Love Song for No One" is a fitting theme song for us... and now she has someone... (sigh!) I'm so happy for you, D! =)
** 21 July: ASP class double with Catching the Elusive JackPurcells
enrolled in basic ASP (E-Commerce) class. impressions: It's really kinda basic; if I had a book (and the drive.!.) I'm sure I can learn it on my own. but I just re-affirmed that I really have no remarkable interest in computer programming. I dunno if I'll stick it out on this one, but the certification, sounds good. it'll look good on the CV, if nothing else...
about the JackPurcells... since I suddenly had extra cash plus I found out they were on sale, I decided to give in and buy a pair of JackPurcell Converse sneakers. I really wanted the one with straps instead of with laces but it's not available anymore (I think that was last year's model), so I bought the classic edition instead.
it should have been easy except that I had to go to four different malls and to different shops inside these malls just to get the right pair. here's the gist: I went to Ayala, saw the red pair, loved it BUT my shoe size wasn't available. tried the navy pair but still no compatible shoe size. went to Gaisano Metro Colon, still no go. went to E-Mall but the Converse shop was temporarily closed. went to SM (and I swore this is gonna be my last stop!) and finally(!), finally I found a pair that fit. Never mind that it's the navy model when i wanted the red pair. JackPurcells are still cool! =D me happy!
that's it for July... ja ne!...

update??...
my last entry for the month of june.
nope, nothing new as useless... i just arrived this morning from Cebu to have a few days of bumming around the ol' homefront. should be back to work on the 4th of july (reporting for duty, SIR! gah, i don't wish...).
currently eating chinese grass jelly (odd, i can't detect any trace of grass taste in it. and yes, i've tasted grass. honestly.)... and listening to a sappy lurve song by Alistair Griffin: You & Me (Tonight). yeah, i have my sappy moments.
hmm... what else? oh yeah, yesterday was our last day in Basic Japanese Conversation. i still can't make heads or tails of the whole language if served to me outright. but am proud to say that i can formulate half-coherent sentences now, as long as it's something simple. like: dare to kyokai de ikimasu ka, or tomodachi to kyokai de ikimasu. and all that shyte... ahaha XD

hanging-out at Portofino...
last Saturday, our team went to Portofino Beach Resort in Lapulapu for team-building... some games, much food, goofing around, and just hanging out in general... to the right is a view of the beach with the yacht in the background.some finer points of the day (eye-openers?): Uly being the
typical chauvinistic guy T_T, Grace getting sea-sick just by looking at the beach front =P, and a relaxed Tony 0_o...i didn't take a lot of pix, just some beach front scenes and one of the resort huts (with Chaos & Inda & Crystal & Michelle's back in the foreground)...

i went to the airport afterwards to see ivyJay off to Singapore... her sis Carrie & Kaloi's mom, Tita Inday was there, too. didn't take pictures coz didn't wanna show off the Treo & didn't wanna appear like a noob, too... =P wish i was also flying to SG that day... T_T anywayz, Tita Inday suggested we all go to SG for a short larag-larag this coming October... i really wanna go, even with the on-going personal financial crisis...ehehehe XD
ah well whatever...

another long one...
to start this post off, here's another pic of the condo behind Castle Peak hotel that i took while walking to the jeep-stop on the way to work... i noticed the clouds overhead looking suspiciously scenic and decided to get a shot.. i guess the result is not that bad, considering i used a crappy camera phone, VGA resolution to boot... although i wouldn't say that a treo650 is that crappy... but i can tell you some things about it hehehe (insert evuhhl laugh here XD)...hmm, what else??...
me and my mom went to Bohol last 26 May to go visit her mom's grave and make a follow-up on land transfers and such... didn't do anything much.. only took some shots of the Tubigon Cathedral ceiling art and
one definitely NOT noteworthy subject: a pile of rocks. yep, rocks. i know, i am so not creative as i want to think i am. it's a fact. but i refuse to accept it =P. about the rocks... the cross-sectioning looked a bit interesting. found it at the back of one of my relatives' house. i guess it was being used for construction or some stuff like that... end the rocks topic...hehehe
so, nothing much about the Cathedral ceiling art. it's quite old i guess.. i never really asked my mom about it but it was there when she was young, and then the Cathedral looked like it belonged to the Spanish era. i tried picturing Bohol in colonial times and imagining the people in Spanish costume and such but can't. well, i suppose it must have been hard work, painting murals in ceilings... it all makes me want to go see the Sistine Chapel and all of Vatican. hope i get to travel the world sooner than later o_O...
and on a lighter note, here are a couple of pics of the stuff ivyJay bought back to me from Singapore! (and from Malaysia, too...) nothing much, just a shirt from her visit to Malaysia, a Petronas keychain, a lil memopad from Melaka and a Singapore keychain but i'm so happy(!).. luv ya lots, ivyJay!
wish i can be in Singapore awready so i can get to make "rampa" the Orchard road wit u!! and hang out in Sentosa... and pahrt-ay in Ministry of Sound and Chimes!! just u wait, Singapore!...!

on new languages and old churches...
last monday evening i started classes for basic nihongo with Ross, eJrome and Tessa. no kana & kanji yet, just conversational japanese so we're still using romaji. our sensei is Kato-san, "pure Japanese" as Ross described him...heheso what made us do this "learn Japanese" thingy? me thinks i started the whole ball rolling. i think i mentioned to Ross i wanted to learn Japanese so i can understand my animés without subtitles (what a lofty ideal!). she said she always wanted to learn Japanese and Korean and enhance her Mandarin. besides, to make the idea more "credible", the additional language proficiency will look good on our resumés o_0... and since this is basically a "buddy" system, in due time word spread and eJrome & Tessa (animé buffs, too got caught up in it, too.
earlier that afternoon, i decided to use my 1-hour break to go to the bank and deposit money for my mom.
since i was cost-cutting for real, taking the taxi was SO not in the books so i had to use public transports (aka jeepneys), which means going to specific (or almost specific) places where the jeeps traveling the routes will pass by. it was a really hot afternoon, and i had to walk for a bit. in doing so i passed by the Cebu Cathedral, and i thought it was a perfect opportunity to take a couple of pix of the old church.
it's a bit of a clash, the rain clouds and the bright sun. i didn't notice the that there were rain clouds until i inadvertently looked up when framing the bell tower for a shot. i think the bell tower shot is kind of dramatic, dont'cha think? quite classic...
well, i have to go and attend my nihongo class. ciao!

after 40 thousand years!!!
I'M BACK!...with a vengeance!!! eheheh =D

well, anywayz i wanted to post a lot of stuff from before but for lack of opportunity and access, i didn't get to. nothing important, just glimpses of my boring life.
sooo, to do a recap, this is about me in my rented room. to the right is a shot of tEddy and me on the side. tEddy was given to me 2 years ago as a goodbye present by my Nestlé IceCream 'diser... she's a bit older than me, and a nice person. and i am definitely NOT a nice gurrl since i forgot her name...ehehe XD oh, and tEddy was christened "tEddy" roughly a year ago by Rigel. me being me neglected to name the scruffy lil guy... ahahaha
=P
this is another shot of tEddy and me, a part of my face a bit clearer, if you can call it that. watching a movie on the T5.

Now this is a shot of the T5. i was watching a movie on it using TCPMP, a totally cool PalmOS software (free plug!!!).
i just decided to take a pic of it for lack of something better to do. well, mebbe i just wanna show off one of the cool things a mobile device can do...hehe.
here are some pix of the lil advice book i gave to aneth-chan as a farewell present, all wrapped up and ready to go:

the light is focused on the presento in the first pic... an attempt on creating drama but quite amateurish, though.

the second pic has more (better?) lighting. the light is still centered on the presento but i guess it has diffused a bit.
the T5, Sony headphones, tEddy and wallet on the background, not to mention the pillows...eheheh
a couple of scenes i see when walking on the way to Panagdait road:
a shot of the lil street i walk almost everyday to get to jeepney stop so i can ride and reach Synergis. the condo behind CastlePeak Hotel in the background. it's a mostly affluent neighborhood me thinks coz most of the houses i pass by are large and nice. there are also some pricey apartment type houses.
and this is the first Peugeot i saw live and in real-time...so i had to go take a pic of it to commemorate the event... hahaha XD i feel really cheesy. it's parked outside one of the pricey apartments, most days. it has a sun-roof, btw. not an eye-candy kind of car but it has a certain cute appeal to it. or mebbe it's just the fact that it's a classic european car and it's rare to see these vehicles in cebu... makes me think of Français and gay Paris.
whoah, this is quite a long post. and Way Back Into Love (Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore version) is my last song syndrome. it's looping in my head like crazy. ciao!

the day after...
it's sunday, the day after my birthday. mom, big_sis, lil_bro and me went to noon mass, and then we hit the beach! (yay!) and it was great! the waves were extra big, i mean it's the first time i've encountered waves those big and hard-hitting... well, there's no comparison for siargao and hawaii (i guess) but for our place, those were WAVES...hehehe lil_bro and me went body-boarding and it was cool! the minus part is having to drink gallons of seawater from being thrown off the body-board and getting under the waves... here's a view of the beachfront.
and actually, there were several surfers (or wannabe/"as-if" surfers) present with real surf-boards... around 3 or 4 of them... the skim-boarders had to sit it out for once... the waves are not conducive to skimming, i guess... here's an obstructed view of the beachfront. i wanted to take a pic of the bodyboard but the leaves got in the way. i didn't notice, what with the treo650's screen being so shitty with sunlight all around...hmmfffp.
and here is a sample of my sand graffitti. i wanted to show my friend Ross how the beach sand on our area is grey, compared to the beaches in Cebu (white... or just plain rocky..ehehe) frankly i don't dig the beaches in Cebu... either they're commercialized (like Maribago, Cebu Beach Club, etc.) or they're so rocky you can't take a decent swim without putting flipflops on. of course, Bantayan is the goddess of beaches! and mebbe Boracay is too, 'cept i haven't been there yet... soon!Friday, March 9, 2007
feeling old...
today is the eve of my birthday. another year older, and i actually feel it. i'm not depressed about it, just a little overwhelmed, though... at least that's the closest description i can give, if there is really a need to put a word to it...

for now i'll just relax, chill out, and spend time with my mom, big_sis, lil_bro and the catz... no worrying about templates, output, stats and job-related stuff.. and bGurrl is dozing on my lap right now while i'm typing this. tv has not been "in" with me for the last couple of years; i'm mostly into movies & films now... i love these times when i get to surf whenever i want to, far from the restrictions of the office, although the office connection is 100x much faster than at home... =( well, i can't have everything , i guess...
it's gonna be my happy birthday in a few hours...
and well, this is my first post so: yoroshiku onegaishimasu! Ü
